Dan: Tantalisingly short of 2 minutes in length, Most Days is an absolutely joyful blast of punk-pop perfection from start to finish. A tribute to the carefree halcyon days of youth, complete with a brilliant animated video of skateboarding, tramp-pissing, drug-taking, and throwing up in the gutter, the only shame is that it isn't longer.

Daedalus ft. Milosh - Tailor-Made
Dan: One of my favourite Ninja Tune artists, Daedalus seems to come up with the goods on every single track. It's as if the man has a direct line to the musical gods, so consistently, and seemingly effortlessly does he create his electronic compositions. Tailor-Made isn't even one of his best, but if you like this be sure to check out some of his previous work.

The Raveonettes - Recharge & Revolt
Dan: At a running time of nearly six minutes, and characterised by the constant barrage of fuzzy surf guitars, Recharge & Revolt doesn't look likely to garner a lot of radio airplay. That would be a shame though, the uplifting vocals and quite extraordinary lyrics (look them up) elevate this track to greatness.

Cashier No. 9 - Goldstar
Dan: Cashier No. 9 are a Belfast band who owe a lot of their musical inspiration to the Manchester/Madchester scene of the late 80s and 90s, but more than that, they also fuse in elements of folk, electronica and krautrock. Goldstar sounds like a jangly-guitared mashup of all these styles, and if that's not enough it comes complete with a psychedelic harmonica solo to round things off.

Jodie Connor ft. Tinchy Stryder - Bring It
Dan: This track has been doing the rounds for a little while now, as indeed has Jodie herself, who appeared on the second series of Pop Idol what must seem a lifetime ago now in 2003. Eight years on winner Michelle McManus' 15 minutes of fame are long since over, but Jodie's star is certainly on the rise. Bring It is another good addition to the current wave of British urban music, placing Connor somewhere between Jessie J and Tulisa Contostavlos.

Trey Songz ft. Nicki Minaj - Bottoms Up
Dan: For two and a half minutes Bottoms Up is okay; about as inoffensive as a song celebrating drunkenness and being drunk could be (sample lyric: "We drunk so let me be your alcohol hero"). It's when Nicki Minaj turns up that things go wrong though, Minaj's section has a truly disturbing, nightmarish quality about it that really isn't any fun at all. Or maybe I've just drunk too much.
